The Postgraduate Program (Master) in Mathematics seeks to provide qualified academic training for candidates interested and comitted to the advancement and dissemination of Mathematics Knowledge and Skills, enabling them: to carry out technical-scientific activities in the area of higher mathematics; to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; to pursue studies at doctoral level in postgraduate programs in the country and abroad, in the field of Mathematics or related areas.

The Program encompasses two concentration areas: Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, and four research lines: Harmonic Analysis and Partial Differential Equations, Abstract Functional Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems and Stochastic Processes, Mathematical Economics and Statistics. The Program Faculty includes professors of the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters (FFCLRP) and of the School of Economics, Business Administration and Accounting (FEARP) at University of São Paulo (USP) in Ribeirão Preto.
